Celebrate Yoga Month At Sanctuary

yogaSeptember is National Yoga Month and Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain wants to help ramp up your Zen routine with a change of scenery and a variety of packages, classes and wellness retreats for yogis (or those looking to try something new).

Sanctuary offers an array of unique yoga experiences and retreats in its inspiring desert setting of Scottsdale:

  • Indoor classes including Flow Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Restorative Yoga are available throughout the week for all hotel and spa guests.
  • For those looking to upgrade their yoga practice, Sanctuary offers Zennis – a unique hybrid of yoga and tennis. Sanctuary’s tennis pros instruct a movement-based tennis clinic, emphasizing the principles of sport-specific yoga along with functional stretches. Participants focus on body awareness, movement and mechanics, heightening their sense of balance and allowing dormant skills to naturally emerge through the program. The Zen portion of Zennis helps promote relaxation, proper alignment and the fluidity necessary for the athletic portion of tennis. Zennis is $50 per person.
  • Travelers seeking a yoga-centric escape can customize their getaway to meet their wellness goals with Sanctuary’s Satori Wellness Retreat. Satori Wellness includes four or five days of activities custom-designed by a certified personal trainer who will personally guide the spa-goer through an individualized health and fitness program. Activities include an automated weight management plan (based on lifestyle information provided by the guest in advance), a fitness assessment conducted upon arrival, guest’s choice of wellness classes, a selection of spa treatments and spa pampering at the world-renowned Sanctuary Spa. About two weeks after departure, the trainer will follow up with each participant to provide further motivation and adjust the guest’s personal plan as needed.
