Prescott Fine Art and Wine Festival

The 29th Annual Fine Art and Wine Festival, takes place May 9-10 in Prescott.  With free admission, this event has become a tradition to many who come to see the art, taste the wine, and enjoy the many other features available in the unique high desert town of Prescott.

Held under the majestic trees surrounding the Historic Courthouse Plaza, the Mountain Artists Guild’s event promises to be even bigger and better this year.

This annual juried festival features more than 150 artists specializing in wood working, metals, jewelry, ceramics, painting, photography, glass and much more, brings the best of the best to one location for visitor’s enjoyment.  See incredible paintings, up close, and talk to the artist about their inspiration.  Watch wood workers turn a block of wood into a functional piece of art.  Fiber spinners and weavers will also be demonstrating their talents showing how yarn is made.

For two days, from 9am-5pm on Saturday, and 9am-4pm on Sunday, you can see artists at work, displaying their talents and producing beautiful works of art in front of your eyes.

The adjacent wine garden features more than 10 of Arizona’s established, as well as up-and-coming, vineyards along with their award winning creations.  Experience a few, or all, of the wines available for tasting. Wine tastings can be purchased for $12, which includes a souvenir glass.  Talk to the vineyard owners, wine makers and representatives to learn more about the many varietals available throughout Arizona.

Various select food vendors, featuring local tastes and international flavors, will provide delectable choices cooked on the spot.  Other cottage edibles to munch while on the move will also be available to enjoy.

Prescott, Arizona, resting at 5,300 feet elevation and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, makes this an even better event destination.  Located right along Prescott’s infamous Whiskey Row, the festival site is easy walking to all the additional great restaurants, unique shops, galleries, saloons, hotels and parking.
