Sassi To Host Dinner Benefiting Families Of Granite Mountain Hotshots

North Scottsdale’s Sassi will host a spaghetti dinner on Tuesday, July 23 to honor and aid the Yarnell Fallen Firefighters. The special-menu dinner will benefit the families of the 19 courageous men who were tragically lost in the Yarnell Hill fire on June 30. One hundred percent of the sales will go to help the families of the fallen Hotshots.

“As our community experiences a devastating blow through the loss of the 19 firefighters who gave their lives protecting us, we wanted to rally our community to help their loved ones,” says Sassi owner Kevin Walsh. “Sassi’s Granite Mountain Hotshot Dinner is an uplifting way to honor and support the Yarnell Fallen Firefighters and their families and to connect and strengthen our Arizona community.”

The three-course menu created by Executive Chef Chris Nicosia includes an Insalata Misticanza with local organic greens and vegetables in a balsamic vinaigrette, imported Italian spaghetti with tomato sauce and the choice of signature meatballs or house made Italian sausage and either gelato or sorbet for dessert. Non-alcoholic beverages including soft drinks, coffee, iced tea are also included. There is a fixed price of $25 per person that does not include alcoholic beverages, sales tax, or a service charge of 20 percent.

All sales will be donated to the Yarnell Fallen Firefighters Fund, which is a 501(c)3 account created and managed by the United Phoenix Fire Fighters Association together with the Prescott Fire Fighters Charities.  For more about the fund visit  Additional donations at the dinner will of course be accepted and appreciated.
