PV Safety Task Force: Final Report

The Paradise Valley Public Safety Task Force recently completed its final report on findings and recommendations for safety in the Town of Paradise Valley. After the jump in area burglaries over the past year, the Task Force was created to review the Town’s community policing policy as it relates to crime prevention and community outreach. More the 50 residents participated in the process.

Highlights of the recommendations include:

  • Hiring of up to six additional sworn officers,
  • Significant investments in public safety technology,
  • Implementation and sustainment of effective crime prevention programs,
  • Establishment of effective community outreach practices and policies, and
  • The preparation of a rolling Five-Year Strategic Plan for Community Policing.

Paradise Valley Town Council will choose how to incorporate the recommendations into funding proposals for next fiscal year that begins July 1.
