Scottsdale Holiday Happenings

From ice skating and sledding – to holiday lights and horse drawn carriages – get into the holiday spirit throughout Scottsdale this month.

Scottsdale Civic Center
Grab your sleds and head to the Holiday Harmony on Sunday, December 2, at the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall, located at 3939 North Drinkwater Boulevard. Enjoy live holiday performances, a snow slide and snow sledding. Starts at 3:30pm and goes until the Mayor’s tree lighting at 6:15pm.

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park Holiday Lights
Take a train ride through more than 100,000 lights and a variety of holiday displays beginning December 14. Runs 6:30-9pm nightly through January 5 (excluding December 24, 25 and 31). Visit www.therailroadpark.com.

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Ice Skating in the Desert
The Princess brings its new Desert Ice Holiday Rink now through January 6. The 5,400-square-foot rink, made with real ice, is open daily to the public. Visit www.scottsdaleprincess.com/holiday-events.

Kierland Commons

  • Miracle on Main Street runs December 1, 8 and 15 with Saturdays full of holiday cheer:
  • Photos with Santa (fee applies)  – 12-8pm
  • Storytime with Mrs. Claus – 3:30-5:30pm (every hour on the half)
  • Live, festive music – 3-6pm
  • Snowfall – 6pm, 7pm, 8pm
  • Horse-drawn carriage rides – 6-9pm

Across the street, Scottsdale Quarter’s iPic Theatre presents The Nutcracker from Moscow’s Bolshoi Ballet on December 5 at 6:30pm. Visit www.ipictheaters.com.
