West Cactus Neighborhood Holds Independence Day Parade

SCOTTSDALE – Liberty Wildlife Rehabilitation Foundation (www.libertywildlife.org) will participate in a Scottsdale neighborhood Independence Day parade on July 4. Families in the West Cactus neighborhood will dress up bikes, strollers, carts and horses in patriotic colors at Mescal Park in Scottsdale, then walk or ride through the neighborhood.

Aurora, a non-releasable Bald Eagle from Liberty Wildlife, and trainer Joe Miller will lead the parade. Liberty Wildlife volunteers will display several other birds at Liberty Wildlife, located on the parade route, at 70th Street and Paradise Drive.

The parade starts at 8am. Mescal Park is located at North 68th Place and East Gary Road in Scottsdale. The parade heads north to Paradise Drive, east to 70th Street and back to Mescal Park.
