Take Fido Out To The Ballgame

Help provide shelter for homeless pets

This Memorial Day weekend, dog owners can catch a baseball game with their furry friends and help an animal shelter save more homeless pets

Bark in the Park, which is presented by Pet Club, will be held on Sunday, May 27 as the Arizona Diamondbacks take on the Milwaukee Brewers. The event starts at 11:30am. There will be a pre-game Puppy Rally and Parade on the track at Chase Field. Game time is 1:10pm.

To participate in the Puppy Rally, participants must arrive and be registered by 11:30am. Water will be provided for pets during the event.

The event will benefit the Arizona Animal Welfare League and Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (AAWL & SPCA), which operates the state’s oldest and largest no-kill animal shelter.

The Diamondbacks will donate $5 from every ticket purchased for Bark in the Park to AAWL & SPCA. Ticket prices are $18 per person and per dog for the bleachers and picnic pavilion, and $25 per person and per dog for baseline reserve.

AAWL & SPCA also will raffle off a custom Diamondbacks-themed dog house. Tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20, which can be purchased in advance of the game.

Pre-registration is required to attend the game with your dog – no walk-ups will be permitted. Dogs must be at least six months old and have a current license. Owners must be able to provide a copy of current vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian.
