Eleven Arts and FUNimation Entertainment are bringing the feature-length follow-up film to the popular “Fullmetal Alchemist” television anime franchise to the big screen this month.

From our reviewer:

Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos is an interesting and unique addition to the award-winning adventures of the Elric brother’s adventures.

After a mysterious prisoner with only a few weeks left on his sentence breaks out of prison in Central City, the Elric brothers attempt to track him down. The search leads them to Table City in the southwestern country of Creta, where Alphonse rescues a young alchemist named Julia from the very man they are trying to capture. In the thick of the fight, they literally tumble into Julia’s home turf, the slums of Milos Valley, and are embroiled in the grassroots rebellion of her people.

The Sacred Star of Milos is an action-packed, beautiful and fantastic must-see for any Fullmetal Alchemist fans and anime enthusiasts of almost all ages. Small children should be accompanied by an adult because of violent and mature themes.

The film opens in the Greater Phoenix area with limited engagements beginning on January 20. The schedule is as follows:
